Welcome to Engaging Curious Minds, a home for science and scientific enquiry at Scotch College.

Scotch College is building a leading edge centre for the teaching and advancement of the sciences that will set improved standards in Australian education.  It is a bold project that will influence the lives of many, near and far.

The Capital Campaign target for the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre for Science has been achieved, thanks to the generosity of the Scotch Family. Over 1100 members of the Scotch Family have generously committed $20M to the project. This result is not only an overwhelming endorsement of the School, and its direction, it is also a resounding affirmation of the School’s commitment to the sciences at this critical time.

The Capital Campaign also owes considerably to the courage, conviction and vision of the School Council and its Chairman, the Hon Dr David Kemp (‘59), the dynamic leadership of our Principal, Mr Tom Batty, and, of course, the astute oversight of the project by the Capital Campaign Chairman, Mr Michael Robinson (‘55), whose leadership, commitment and drive are unparalleled.

Instrumental in the appeal’s success was the phenomenal role played by our volunteers, and we thank them most sincerely for their mighty efforts on the School’s behalf. Development Office staff have also worked tirelessly in pursuit of the goal.

To all those in our community who supported the Capital Campaign for the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre for Science: thank you for your extraordinary generosity and foresight.
